Four categories of thermostatic control valves
Thermostatic control valves can be classified according to the different temperature sensing media filled in the bulb, which can be roughly divided into the following four categories:
1. Steam bulb type
The medium filled in the bulb is a low boiling point liquid. When the external temperature rises, part of the liquid vaporizes into gas, and the volume of the bulb increases. Push the valve rod, close the valve opening, and reduce the water flow into the radiator. When the external temperature decreases, part of the gas liquefies into liquid, and the volume of the bulb decreases, and the valve opening increases, thus increasing the water flow into the radiator. The temperature sensing medium in the thermoset is often in the state of gas-liquid mixture, which has the advantage of fast acting time, but it has very strict requirements on the sealing of the thermoset, and is rarely used in China at present.
2. Liquid bulb type
The temperature sensing medium filled in the ladle is a special liquid, usually methanol or toluene. Because of its large volume and short action time, this kind of bulb is widely used in China.

3. Solid temperature ladle type
The temperature package is filled with solid with high expansion coefficient, mostly paraffin, etc. Due to the small change of solid volume relative to gas and liquid, its temperature sensing action is slow, but its volume relative to liquid temperature packet is small, so it is also used in some domestic.
4. Metal chip
The temperature sensing device of the thermostatic controller is a kind of special alloy metal sheet with memory function, which drives the temperature control valve to act due to thermal expansion and contraction.
