What are the steps to remove the kitchen faucet?
In the kitchen, the faucet is an indispensable part. Generally, the faucet will be inconvenient to use after several years of use, such as inflexibility, resistance, parts damage, etc. the emergence of these problems will bring great inconvenience to use. Therefore, in order to ensure its normal use, it is necessary to replace it in time, which is very necessary. So, what are the steps to dismantle the kitchen faucet?
Remove the kitchen faucet
Step 1: first prepare tools: screwdriver, wrench and pliers. If only parts (such as sealing rings) are replaced, prepare this part. Then close the main valve.
Step 2: remove the small screws on or behind the faucet handle, and remove the handle fixed on the faucet body. Some faucet screws are hidden under metal buttons, plastic buttons or plastic sheets. As long as you open the button, you will see the handle screws installed on the top. For faucets that have been used for a long time, the screws may become very tight due to rust and other reasons. You can drop some lubricating oil into them.
Step 3: if the screw is hidden in the hole, it is recommended to observe it with a flashlight, mainly to see what the fixed screw inside is, cross or word, and then loosen it with a corresponding screwdriver. The screw of a few brand faucets is an inner square hole (such as Mohn). It is troublesome to disassemble this kind of screw. When using alternative tools, be careful not to damage the screw port. When this screw is loosened, the handle can be removed.
Step 4: at this time, you see a large copper nut. After removing the nut with a large adjustable wrench, you can remove the valve core of the faucet. Observe the copper plane under the valve core for unevenness or fine sand particles, and remove them.
